About

Emi Zako's first book, "How Are You, Shuta?" had been honor of 8th place of Allauthor Cover of the Month, June! She is very excited about the outcome because it was all her hand drawing and was designed by her. Emi Zako is native of Japan and came to America for a vacation in1997; she met her husband and married in 1998. She is a mother, wife, educator, and author of children's books, 'Shuta and Me' series and 'White Socks'.

Emi Zako has Associate Degrees in Psychology and Social Behavior Science and a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Development. Her favorite college course was Children's Literature because it taught her the important elements of children's books.

Publishing children's books was one of Emi's dreams. She says, "I am so happy to hear my audiences tell me their children ask them to read my books every day and even cry for it, I feel like I am at the top of the world!"
